Outdoor Advertising Permit Procedures

Authorisation to mount or display signage within the Mpohor District.

Who can apply

Apply by letter to the District Chief Executive, copying the District Works Engineer, stating the size, quantity, and location(s) of the sign(s).

How to apply

Once you receive a response to your written application, purchase a registration form from the Revenue Office.

Processing procedure

The prospective developer must complete the following:

a
Submit the completed application form to the Outdoor Advertising Unit, Mpohor.
b
An officer from the Outdoor Advertising Unit inspects the site with the applicant within two (2) working days of receiving the registration form, confirming the site matches the application letter and is suitable for mounting or displaying the signage.
c
Pay the approved fee at the Revenue Office and proceed to mount the signage within ten (10) working days of submitting the application letter.

Please note

Signage or structures must be mounted under the strict supervision of an Officer of the Works Department, or another officer assigned based on the details provided in your application letter and registration form. Outdoor Advertising Permits are renewable annually — late renewal attracts a 50% fine.
