WRCC Assessors Conduct Performance Evaluation

A team of assessors from the Western Regional Coordinating Council has visited the Mpohor-Fiase District Assembly to undertake a comprehensive performance monitoring, review, and evaluation exercise.

The assessment forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen accountability, improve service delivery, and ensure that Assemblies adhere to established standards in governance and development planning. The exercise also provides an opportunity to identify gaps, share best practices, and enhance institutional performance at the district level.

During the visit, the assessors examined several key operational areas, including project monitoring, procurement and contract management, administrative efficiency, the functionality of sub-structures, planning and budgeting processes, environmental safeguards, and the implementation of government priority projects.

Officials of the Assembly engaged the assessment team, providing relevant documentation and updates on ongoing projects and programmes. Discussions focused on compliance with regulatory frameworks, transparency in procurement processes, and the effectiveness of monitoring systems in ensuring quality project delivery.

The WRCC team emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards across all operational areas, noting that effective monitoring and evaluation are critical to achieving sustainable development outcomes.
