Northern settlers actively engaged in farming within the Mpohor-Fiase District have received significant support from the Member of Parliament, Kofi Bentil.
“I was privileged to support them with over 1,000 bags of free fertiliser to aid their ongoing farm activities,” the MP stated.
The gesture serves as a clear reminder that these hardworking farmers are remembered, valued, and recognised as key partners in the district's
development agenda. Hon. Kofi Bentil reaffirmed that farming remains a critical pillar of the local economy and emphasized his unwavering commitment
to supporting farmers to boost productivity and improve livelihoods across the district.
Beyond the fertiliser distribution, the initiative is expected to significantly enhance crop yields, strengthen food security, and create more economic
opportunities within the district. Agricultural stakeholders have welcomed the intervention, noting that timely access to inputs remains a major
challenge for many smallholder farmers.
Residents and beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the MP for his continued support, describing the intervention as both timely and impactful, especially as farmers navigate rising input costs and unpredictable weather patterns. The Mpohor-Fiase District Assembly continues to encourage collaboration between government, local leaders, and farming communities to drive sustainable agricultural development and inclusive growth. Together, we grow a stronger district.
